3/23/12A couple of plants and a little paint, makes a glass what it ain’t
I have so many glass vessels (read over 100) left over from the wedding (I thrifted them and used them as votive holders)–that I decided to upcycle a few of them yesterday. I sprayed on just a light coat of mango-colored spray paint and planted a few of my hardier plants in them. I put rocks at the bottom of the glasses (since there is no drainage in these vessels). The whole project took about 15 minutes and cost me about $8.
I hope that you get a chance to get your hands in the dirt this weekend-it’s the first weekend of Spring–a marvelous time to plant some seeds and do some gardening–in tea cups or anywhere!
OK–I’m off to celebrate my birthday now. Later homies!
