So I’ve been here in Copenhagen for just four days now, but I’ve already noticed a color combo in many of the shop windows, as well as a few of the Danish design mags. Blush-colors combined with copper-tones seem to be the sh*t for Spring and I am loving the way the soft pink is pumped up with its metallic cousin, copper. Add a hint of green in the mix (either from botanicals or from rusty copper itself) and you are all done. What do you think? Too samey-samey or are you feeling it?? (…and by the way that Tom Dixon candle is killing me.)

  1. I love seeing seasonal colours used in accessories and it’s always fun to see which colours and combinations are becoming popular. I like bringing some of them into my own home, but for that reason, I keep larger pieces neutral. It’s easier to swap out toss cushions on a neutral couch, for example. I wrote more generally on when and when not to follow seasonal trends here: http://www.whartoninteriors.com/blog-0/bid/96543/A-love-hate-relationship-with-interior-design-trends

Absolutely loving it! Peachy pink is so feminine. I love anything copper. You can never go wrong with a little green added to the mix.

  3. one of my favorite color combinations right now. great finds! p.s. loved the trampoline post on IG. :)

You have no idea how often I think of you here!!! Before coming here I thought of your aesthetic as very Japanese–but now I’m thinking you’ve got some major Danish influence behind your vibe–I’m seeing Satsuki EVERYWHERE!!

  4. Shevon Gant says:

I agree with Deanne, I love the feminine pale pinks and the light coral peachy colors combine with matte or shiny metallic color. It’s a sweet combo! I love the pops of green too!

  5. Liz says:

So made for each other, I can’t think why we didn’t think of this before. A very with-it but restful and time-honoured colour combo, I feel. I am going to try this out in my lounge (starting small with a sofa), but in vintage style – going for that aged, weathered, greeny copper you mention. Can I pull it off with limestone mellow yellow walls though in an old Maltese house? That’s be a challenge!

  6. Joy Uyeno says:

Placed side-by-side makes me think of rose gold, which I love! It’s interesting, the way juxtapositioning these elements tricks the eye a little. That big blush chair is divine – I can just imagine sitting in it with a sheepskin, a blanket, and a book for hours.

  7. Deana says:

I think this combo would make the most beautiful bedroom.

  8. Camille says:
